The Claretians/National Shrine of St. Jude Partners in Hope Recognition Wall and Book of Hope were developed to honor and recognize generous benefactors who meet a particular level of giving. Their overwhelming support of Claretian ministry efforts is truly a beacon, bringing light to the darkness of hearts in need. The Claretians maintain the Partners in Hope Recognition Wall and Book of Hope in the Vigil Light Room at the National Shrine of St. Jude in Chicago. The recognition wall and book were designed as a way for the Claretians to publicly recognize the generous individuals who share the vision of the Claretians and a deep devotion to our friend and patron— St. Jude. Currently, brass plaques have been engraved and placed on the wall as a formal tribute to 151 individuals or families. The donor names on the wall will be adjusted quarterly to reflect new benefactors being honored, or increased levels of giving for currently recognized donor names. The Book of Hope displayed on a stand at the entrance to the Vigil Light Room contains the names of 1,220 individuals or families. These names include current Charitable Gift Annuitants, individuals who have informed us of their intent to name the Claretians/National Shrine of St. Jude in their estate plans, current Hope Fund members, and Memorial/ Tribute gifts received in 2006.
The Partners in Hope Recognition Wall and Book of Hope are placed at the National Shrine of St. Jude so future generations of Claretian benefactors will know and appreciate the philanthropic friends who have so generously provided significant and unselfish support. The named individuals have partnered with the Claretians in their mission to spread the love of God and the hope of St. Jude throughout the world.
